A MUSIC BLOG WHERE I SHARE WITH YOU(THE WORLD AT LARGE)ALL THE VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLINGS THAT I ENJOY IN THE HOPE OF TURNING YOU ON TO SOMETHING NEW.

Live Soundboard recording from the "Killers" tour.Awesome set list.
Since I gave you a little taste in the previous post I figured I'd serve up a heaping plate of Austin Lucas for ya.This is his newest release(being his 3rd full length) and it just continues to get better. One of my favorite artists to come out in the past few years.Amazing Folk/Country songs crafted to perfection with enough feeling to make you laugh.cry, and just swell up with every
Part of Suburban Home Records Under The Influence Series where as you would think bands play covers by other bands that influenced them. This volume features one of my favorite artists Austin Lucas w/ a Dolly Parton cover and Frank Tuner w/ a Bruce Springsteen cover. Two great songs by two great musicians.
Another one of those postings here where if you know than you know and if you don't than you should. What can be said about Hot Water Music that hasn't already?Arguably the best album from these Gainsville.Fl. powerhouses.Grab a PBR,grow a beard, and rock out.

Here's one by request for my buddy Paul.Load was a Hardcore/Punk/Noise band from Miami whos heyday was the late 80's to early 90's.I must have seen these guys a hundred times growing up seeing that it seemed like they played with every band that came through town.Really good raw sounding tunes with so much attitude the music alone could take on 3 guys at once and come out on top. This is pretty much everything they released except the "Does Dead Godflesh Smell" 7in. and their full length(if anyone can help email me).Rumor(well not really rumor) has it that they could have done alot more if certain members(Bobby Load I'm looking in your general direction) didn't have such a big drug(crack) problem.Sleestack

The Hellraiser Session
Seeing that I mentioned them in the last post and I'm in the mood to be sharing Trash Metal here's Warbringer from Ventura,Ca. with their newst release "Waking Into Nightgmares". Another forerunner in the new Thrash revival in the U.S.,this album is Old School with a fresh approach. All the aspects you would expect in a Thrash band are here in full force. So grab some skinny jeans, high top Reeboks, and a sleeveless Overkill shirt and bang your head against the stage like you never did before.
This is the second album from Black/Thrash/Speed Metal act Skeletonwitch from Athens,Ohio. Another one of the Leaders of the new Thrash revival going on in the states(along with Municipal Waste,Warbringer, and a bunch of others),this albums reeks of pure Heavy Metal. This was the album that introduced Me to this band,so this is the one I'm using to introduce you to em if you dont already know.Great stuff!!!
Lemuria are another one of those duel Female/Male vocals melodic Indie/Punk bands that I love so much. Formed in 2004 in Buffalo,New York they have a few 7in. singles out as well as a full length "Get Better" on Asian Man Records which I also highly reccomend.
Relatively unknown power/thrash metal from Minneapolis. This is their debut from 1989,which is the only full length they released(there was an e.p. but it was nowhere near as great as this).Powermad was featured briefly in David Lynch's "Wild At Heart" as the house band in the bar scene where Nicolas Cage gets all metal on us and jumps on stage and flails around.Anyway this is one that flew below most peoples Metal radar at the time and I'd like to rectify that situation if I can.Check the vid below.
Awesome female fronted Pop-Punk outfit from New Brunswick,New Jersey.I'm a sucker for stuff like this especially when it's done this well.Great vocals, well written songs, and good musicianship. Not much else to say so just listen to it.New album out soon on NoIdea records so keep an eye out.
I figured I'd give you the other side of the coin of the last post.Since Parliament and Funkadelic are so often though of as one band(and rightfully so) I figured it would be good to see both of them as seperate entities. This album provides all that funkiness the last post didn't.Released in 1978 this is one of Parliaments best and most popular albums. The Mother Ship has landed and here it is at its finest.

Imagine if Black Sabbath Was from the states and never got anywhere. If that was the case than you would have Pentagram. One of the early pioneers of Doom Metal this collection of material recorded in the early to mid 70's showcase a great rock and roll band that have finally begun to get their due in the new millenium. So lite one up and sit back and enjoy some of the best stoner rock you're ever likely to here.

Ok So this is one of those bands that either you love or hate,i've found that there's no middle ground.Personally this is one of my favorite bands(I've even gone so far as to have their "Keywork" logo tattooed on my leg),and have been pushing them on people for a number of years now and figured why should this blog be any different.Forget what you may have heard and make your own decision. This is their first album in a contineous saga that is about to wrap up with the pre-quel album "Year of the Black Rainbow" coming out in the next few weeks.Forget the story going on and just focus on the great music contained within.

You should already know and own this but if you don't you're in for a treat.Hailing from Richmond,Virginia Municipal Waste are one of the forerunners of the new Thrash Revival currently going on the U.S..This is their 3rd full length and in my opinion their best album to date. They remind me of a cross between D.R.I. and Nuclear Assault but definatly have all the best elements from late 80's thrash.I mean how can you not love a band whose whole motiff is drinkin beer, smokin weed and partying.http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KQX87180

Live album by one of my favorite artists. This is the re-release with 19 tracks instead of 10.This album is a great introduction if you're not familiar with Rokys' music and an amazing addition if you are. These are definatly the best live recordings by Roky that I've ever heard and I reccomend this highly.

Not the metal band fronted by Chuck Schuldner, but a completely overlooked African-American punk band consisting of 3 brothers from Detroit.Formed in 1971 as an R&B band but switched after seeing an Alice Cooper show.Influenced by bands such as The MC5 and The Stooges the material for this album was recorded in 1974 but not officialy released until 2009.They're back together and doing some touring this year so hopefully more people will be able to learn about this great band that was wrongfully ignored in their original existence.http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zt3tl2mmiem

This is great rockin little number here with vocals by Danny Cooksey who you may remember from things such as Salute Your Shorts,Terminator 2,or Different Strokes, as well as guitar work by Thomas McRocklin who was the kid in the Steve Vai videos as a little Steve Vai.The oldest member of the group was 16 at the time of recording but these kids were already masters of their insturments. Thanks to -21grams blog for the link.
